"Self-care isn’t about doing more—it’s about recognizing and appreciating the small, consistent ways you can show up for yourself each day."
Happy Thursday,
We often think of self-care as something to plan, perfect, or add to our already full plates. But what if it’s not about doing more but simply noticing the care already within reach? This week’s Happiness Note is about shifting your mindset—helping you see that self-care isn’t out of reach; it’s already woven into your daily life. Want to feel more balanced and at ease? Come check out this week’s note.
In gratitude, ❤ Emily

Remember the Good
Self-care isn’t just about the big moments—it’s in the small, everyday things we do for ourselves without even realizing it. From brushing your teeth to savoring your morning coffee, these acts of care already exist in your daily life. When you take a step back and recognize them, you begin to see that self-care isn’t something you need to chase; it’s something you’re already practicing.
Tip for remembering the good: Today, take a moment to acknowledge the little things you do for yourself—they all add up to a life well cared for.
Feel Your Best
True self-care flourishes when we learn to appreciate the present moment. As you go through your day, try whispering to yourself: “This is a gift for you from me.” Whether it’s a peaceful moment alone, a deep breath of fresh air, or a heartfelt laugh with a friend, these are the moments that fill your well-being.
Tip to feel your best: The more you focus on the self-care already woven into your life, the more you’ll feel its impact—mind, body, and soul.
Reset As Needed
Life is fluid, and so is self-care. Some days, you’ll feel balanced and strong; other days, you may need a reset. Regularly checking in with yourself allows you to adjust, realign, and offer yourself the care you truly need.
Tip for a reset: Instead of focusing on what’s missing, celebrate what’s working and gently shift what’s not. Self-care is not about perfection—it’s about staying in tune with yourself and making consistent choices that support your well-being.

Do what works best for you. Over the years, in supporting many people in their planning and goal-setting, it seems to work best to pick a day of the week that’s easy to stick to so that your weekly planning becomes a habit and ritual.
