“Joy multiplies the moment you choose it.”
Happy Thursday,
Joy isn’t something we have to wait for — it’s something we can step into right now. When we choose gratitude in the small, ordinary moments, joy expands and shifts how we experience our day. This week’s Happiness Note explores how to use your feelings as a guide, reset when needed, and cultivate simple habits that make gratitude more accessible.
In gratitude, ❤ Emily
This week’s topic and inspiration come from the article: “Here’s How to Experience More Gratitude in Your Day.”
💛 Remember the Good
Many of us wait until something really big happens before allowing ourselves to feel grateful. But gratitude isn’t meant to be rare or reserved. When we give ourselves the gift of gratitude now, we notice more things to be thankful for and begin to experience life as it is — a gift.
Tip to remember the good:
Reflect on areas of your life where gratitude already exists. Notice one ordinary thing you might normally overlook, and let yourself feel grateful for it — even for just 30 seconds.
🌿 Feel Your Best
Our feelings are a built-in superpower. They provide moment-by-moment information that we can use to steer change. Even when we don’t feel good, that discomfort is our opening to do something different. By listening to our feelings and making small shifts, we can access gratitude more easily and start to feel better in the moment.
Tip to feel your best:
Reflect on where your feelings may be guiding you toward change. When you don’t feel good, pause and ask: What’s one small thing I can do differently right now?
🔄 Reset as Needed
We don’t have to wait for the future to shift before choosing to feel good now. The present moment is where joy and gratitude live. By letting go of the stories that weigh us down and choosing even small acts of play, we create new habits around gratitude and change the trajectory of our lives.
Tip for a reset:
Reflect on what you would like to have more of in your day. Use your feelings as information. If something doesn’t feel good, let that be your cue to reset and take one step toward what does.
